Calling all interested men and boys to join the Fraternal Society of St John the Apostle in celebrating the final event of the 2023 liturgical year for a night of spiritual enrichment, fellowship, networking, German libations and food as we celebrate the Feast Day of St. Martin of Tours.
Vespers, Benediction, and Confession will be offered beginning at 6pm.
The dinner and talk will begin at the conclusion of Benediction and Confession.
Our night concludes with a bonfire rosary, cigars, dessert, and beverages.
Our Presenting Speaker is Canon Matthew Talarico, ICKSP. A native of Pittsburgh, PA, Canon Matthew Talarico was ordained to the priesthood by Cardinal Raymond Burke in June of 2007 for the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest. Canon Talarico studied at the international seminary of the Institute of Christ the King in Florence, Italy. He is currently serving as Rector of the Shrine of Christ the King in Chicago, as well as the Provincial Superior for the Institute’s American Province which includes apostolates in nineteen dioceses coast to coast. Canon Talarico will be joined by Canon Aaron Huberfeld, ICKSP. Canon Huberfeld is Rector of St Mary's Oratory in Wausau, WI. Fr. (Canon) Huberfeld was born in Ridgefield, CT and graduated from the Ridgefield HS. He attended Boston University where he majored in Latin and Greek. There he discovered the Catholic faith, and entered RCIA. He was baptized and received First Holy Communion and Confirmation by Cardinal Sean O’Malley at the Boston Cathedral. After graduation he entered the seminary for the Institute of Christ the King in Gricigliano, Italy. The Most Reverend Raymond L. Burke, Prefect of the Supreme Tribunal of the Apostolic Signatura, ordained Canon Aaron Huberfeld in 2010.
